Mike McCann is the vision and energy behind Simple Life. Recognizing the significant gap in affordable home options for discerning buyers, Mike commissioned comprehensive market studies to identify key areas of demand and created the Simple Life offering. Under his leadership, Simple Life has emerged as a leader in the downsized housing movement, driven by Mike’s proven track record for putting together a full-service offering, assembling a team to build and promote that offering, and securing financing and building relationships to support the mission. Through his own investment company, McCann Management, Mike began investing in land in 2000. Employing the very best urban land planners and engineers, Mike specializes in entitling, efficient land planning, and in-house development in the Southeast.

Andrew was raised in the UK and enjoyed an international career in Hotels and Resorts. During his career he managed the construction of more than 400 homes, luxury amenities including clubhouses and sports campuses, and miles of infrastructure. Andrew attended Cornell University's Hotel School’s General Manager program. He has been awarded many accolades for projects he has spearheaded, including Businessperson of the Year for Putnam County, GA (Lake Oconee) and the GA Governor's Award for Tourism Marketing. Andrew brings decades of experience with Homeowners Associations. He exudes tenacious enthusiasm and has a passion for real estate development, coaching teams, and driving success in business.

Wolfe Jackson has an MBA from Michigan State University, and spent the first years of his career with a “Big Four” public accounting firm. He then spent 15 years in residential construction in both privately held and publicly traded companies in roles of CFO, Division Controller, Division Chief Operating Officer and Division President. His expertise has helped Simple Life successfully manage cash flow, organize and integrate a continually shifting supply chain, cultivate valuable investor relations, and procure stable debt. Wolfe’s extensive background in home building helped develop the Simple Life model, which has many similarities to traditional real estate.

Amber joins us following a successful six-month contract, during which she expertly created Simple Life’s comprehensive Company Policy and Playbook. This initiative not only addressed a significant organizational need but also enabled Amber to immerse herself within the intricacies of Simple Life’s operations. Amber has over 25 years of experience, and has consistently delivered strong results, managing teams and businesses with annual sales exceeding $500 million. Known for her strategic financial management and sharp analytical skills, she is a recognized "Solutions Maven" with a passion for driving innovation and refining processes. As Chief of Staff, Amber will collaborate closely with the CEO and our key leadership, and will oversee policies and initiatives. Her responsibilities will also include ensuring strategic priorities are met, serving as a trusted advisor, and overseeing the implementation of key workstreams across the organization. Our communities GM’s, as well as the Corporate HR team will report directly into Amber. Amber's educational background includes Veterinary Studies with Ross University; and graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, minors in Environmental Sciences and Chemistry, and specialized focus on Marine Biology. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol, and staying active in her community.

Thom brings over 30 years experience to Investment Funds and their Real Estate Development Projects. He has served on the leadership teams of multiple institutionally backed investment fund service platforms with a focus on the Residential Housing industry (REIT’s and CDFI’s). Over $20 Billion in capital has been deployed nationally through these platforms in the past 12 years. Thom created (and then exceeded) national performance management standards while building and managing teams across 8 states with responsibility for thousands of assets and over $3 Billion in Land, Multifamily & Single-Family Residential housing investments. Thom has also led over 1,500 performance improvement engagements for corporate asset portfolios in all 50 states and internationally. He has also been a principal investor, board member, CEO, and/or top strategic advisor for dozens of private M&A transactions with various partners and clients. Thom graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991 and earned his NC real estate brokers license in 2014.

Gabriel brings over 10 years of development, management, and design experience to Simple Life’s land acquisition and planning processes. Formally trained in architecture, Gabe has successfully implemented dozens of development projects from conceptual design through land use entitlement and construction completion. He enjoys finding creative solutions to intricate development challenges and liaising between planning commissions, design review boards, project stakeholders, and investors to maximize productivity, profitability, and the overall efficiency of projects.

Christine holds a degree in Public Health and concentration in healthcare organizations and economics, following immersive international study. She works closely with other departments and applies technical solutions to manage data, automate business processes, and analyze results.
